As you may recall, in an effort to help our members during the COVID-19 pandemic, Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative temporarily suspended service disconnections and waived delinquent penalties for all members. We hope this helped bridge the financial gap COVID-19 possibly created and sincerely thank our members who were able to continue paying each month.
On May 28, 2020, the Iowa Utilities Board officially lifted the suspension of disconnections for non-payments. Please be advised beginning on or about June 15, 2020 CVEC will resume with normal delinquent and disconnection processes for accounts with past due balances.
If you are unable to pay your bill, please call our member care team as soon as possible to discuss payment options. You may reach us at 641-932-7126 or 800-475-1702 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. You may also access your account information and make payments on CVEC’s website www.cvrec.com or our mobile app, “MY CVEC APP”.
