Deposit Fees
A deposit is required when establishing electric service at either a new build or an existing location.
Residential Location
A $200.00 deposit is required to establish service at a residential location.
Commercial Location
A $300.00 deposit is required to establish service at a commercial location.
Other Fees
Returned Check or Payment
A $30.00 fee is charged for checks, electronic checks, or debit card payments declined by the financial institution. The payment will be considered unpaid and may result in disconnection and additional fees.
Late Payment Charge
A 1.5% late payment charges applies when payment is received after the due date shown on the member's bill.
Connect Fees
Non-Energized Location:
A $50.00 fee plus applicable tax is charged when connecting service at a non-energized location.
New Build:
A $50.00 fee plus applicable tax is charged when establishing service at a new build.
Transfer of Service:
A $15.00 fee plus applicable tax is charged when transferring service.
Disconnect Fees
24-Hour Hanging Notice
A $50.00 fee plus applicable tax is charged when a 24-hour notice for non-payment is posted at the service location.
Non-Pay Disconnect
A $50.00 fee is charged when service is disconnected for non-payment.
Remote Disconnect
A $25.00 fee plus applicable tax is charged when service is disconnected remotely.
Onsite Disconnect
A $50.00 fee plus applicable tax is charged when a CVEC employee must disconnect service at the physical location.
Reconnect Fees
Remote Reconnect
A $25.00 fee plus applicable tax is charged when service is reconnected remotely.
Remote After-Hours Reconnect
A $87.50 fee plus applicable tax is charged for a remote reconnect requested after 4:30 p.m.
Onsite Reconnect
A $50.00 reconnect fee plus applicable tax is charged when service is reconnected onsite during regular office hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Onsite After-Hours Reconnect
A $175.00 fee plus applicable tax is charged when a crew must be dispatched for an onsite reconnect requested after 4:30 p.m
Non-Payment Reconnect
A $50.00 reconnect fee plus applicable tax is charged when service is disconnected for non-payment and reconnected during regular office hours.
All past-due amounts must be paid before service can be reconnected. An additional deposit may also be required.
